Give-a-Life

What better way to REALLY help a young African woman trapped in an abusive and unjust society, without family resources, than to bring her to Canada and provide her with an education, a job opportunity and make Canadian citizenship possible?! That is called making a REAL difference.

You can be easily part of this wonderful opportunity. For a few dollars your membership in the program puts you in a central position in the community as an important player in the process to bring real change to someone's life – someone you can actually meet in Canada some day soon.

G-a-L is an international network of members who work together to bring young female survivors of  the Streets in South Africa to Canada to study at Lambton College and gain qualifications as Personal Support Workers.

These candidates may choose to go back to Africa or apply for jobs in Canada. Some may choose to go back to their country of origin to work in the shelters where they once lived. Some may adapt well and decide to get jobs in Canada with the intention to immigrate and start a new life.

In order to qualify to apply these young people must have earned their grade 12, have a clean police record, have a clean criminal record, have a clean bill of health, and have little to no support in her own country.

This program gives a life, where before there was nothing but despair.
